The Candela GentleMax PRO laser is safe, quick and effective to remove unwanted face and body hairs on all skin types. The GentleMax PRO carries two different wavelengths;  Alexandrite wavelength which is designed to treat lighter skin tones and NGYag wavelength which is designed to treat darker skin tones. During the treatment your practitioner will use a small handpiece to deliver an intense but gentle burst or pulse of laser light energy that is converted to heat and is absorbed by the pigment in the hair which effectively damages the hair follicle that produces hair.

 

Note: The laser may not be as effective for individuals with heavily tanned and/or very dark skin due to the laser targeting the active melanin in the skin. Most lasers are not effective for people with white, blond, peach fuzz, red or gray hair. This may only serve as temporary effect of hair removal and may need maintenance sessions.
